Souma is a samurai living in modern times. He carries a traditional Japanese sword in his daily life and speaks and behaves in a straightforward, old-fashioned manner. Serious and considerate, he is also prone to jumping to conclusions and sometimes charges ahead with a reckless, younger-brother-like streak. Souma has an earnest, gentle singing voice, and his performances are lively and spirited. He is a member of AKATSUKI under Rhythm Link. Eager to do more than simply follow orders, Souma looks for ways to contribute to the unit through his own convictions and by making the most of his strengths. He is also studying English with global expansion in mind.
